Terms of Use

1. General

1.1 These Terms of Use govern, together with the Privacy Policy, your use of the “My Words: Learn Vocabulary” mobile application (“Application”), the websites https://mywords.app, https://my-words.ru, https://mindworksolutions.nl, https://app.my-words.ru and https://links.my-words.app, and related services provided by Mind Work Solutions (“we”). By using the Application or the Websites, you accept and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Services.

1.2 All intellectual property rights associated with the Services belong to Mind Work Solutions, Netherlands. Technical administration and support of the Services for users located in the Russian Federation is provided by ИП Бабкин Алексей Владимирович (ИНН 246307200869, ОГРН/ОГРНИП 325246800079370). For CloudPayments purchases (Android in-app purchases in Russia and purchases by users in Russia on https://app.my-words.ru and https://links.my-words.app), that partner acts as the merchant/seller and as an independent controller of related payment records.

1.3 Our Services are intended for users studying foreign languages and offer features to help memorize vocabulary, translate words and texts, create personal dictionaries, track learning statistics, and practice pronunciation and spelling.

1.4 The Services are available globally through the App Store, Google Play, and our Websites. Core features are accessible without registration. Optional account registration is available on iOS and Android. Syncing learning data across devices through a My Words account is available only to registered users with a premium subscription who choose to enable sync. Signing into a My Words account that already has a linked premium subscription allows access to premium features.

3.1 All content, trademarks, and related materials are the intellectual property of Mind Work Solutions or its licensors. Use is limited to functionality within the Services.

4. Disclaimer

4.1 We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or any specific outcome from use. The Services and content are provided “as is” and “as available.”

4.2 The Services may contain third-party content (e.g., ChatGPT, YandexGPT). We are not responsible for the availability or content of such integrations.

4.3 External links may appear in the Services. We are not responsible for the content or availability of these third-party sites.

4.4 Users are responsible for any content they submit and must have rights to do so.

4.5 We are not responsible for advertisements managed by third parties.

5. Changes to these terms

5.1 We may update these Terms at any time. Important changes will be posted in the App or on the Website. Continued use signifies agreement.

6. Premium Plan

6.1 Some features are limited in the free version and may include ads.

6.2 Full access can be purchased via one-time payment or subscription. Trial versions may be offered.

6.3 Purchase channels:

6.4 Price changes for App Store purchases and Google Play purchases follow the rules of the respective store. Price changes for CloudPayments purchases are communicated in the Application or on the purchase websites.

6.5 Cancellation. You may cancel App Store purchases or Google Play purchases through your store account settings. You may cancel CloudPayments purchases from your My Words profile in the Application or on the purchase websites. After cancellation, no further charges will be applied, and access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6.6 Refund Policy (CloudPayments purchases). You may request a refund within 24 hours of the transaction by contacting our support team and providing the transaction details. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and processed in accordance with applicable law. This policy does not affect your statutory rights, including rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

6.7 Refund Policy (App Store purchases and Google Play purchases). Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We cannot issue refunds for these purchases. For refund requests, contact Apple or Google under their refund policies.

6.8 EU Right of Withdrawal. By purchasing a subscription and starting to use the Premium Plan immediately, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you may lose your statutory right of withdrawal under applicable law.

7. Data Protection

7.1 Data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Registered users with a premium subscription who enable My Words account sync may have their account and learning data stored on our servers on both iOS and Android. If sync is not enabled on iOS, learning data remains on the device or in the user’s private iCloud, and a non-identifiable record may be stored to manage premium access. Other data may be stored locally on the device.

7.2 Data submitted via our contact form (email, name, message) is used only for the purpose of responding.

8. Account Deletion

8.1 Registered users may delete their accounts via the profile section of the App or the purchase websites. This permanently deletes account and synced learning data stored by us, subject to records we or our Russian payment partner must retain for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
