We’re excited to announce My Words 2.48—an update that makes reading and writing in the app even more useful for building vocabulary. It’s available on iOS, Android, and macOS.

📖 Look Up Words from Books and Texts

You can now open the dictionary from books and texts—even for words that aren’t in what you’re reading or writing. If a word comes to mind while you read a book or write a homework text, look it up without interrupting what you’re doing.

✂️ Save Book Passages as Texts

Extract a part of a book and save it to your texts. Keep the passages you want to revisit, practice, or study alongside the rest of your learning materials.

📚 Open EPUBs from Outside the App

In version 2.47, we also added a simpler way to start reading: share an EPUB file to My Words from outside the app and open it right away—no need to import it first from inside the reader.

🚌 Transport and Geography Categories

We’ve added two new vocabulary categories to explore:
